HAIA GETS AN INVESTMENT BOOST FOR ITS GAME-CHANGING WEB-BASED FULL EVENTS PLATFORM

Anglesey-based, Haia has secured an investment from a Stakeholderz angel investor to accelerate the growth of its events platform.

Stakeholderz SaaS Roundtable pitch event gave Haia a platform to pitch to an audience of active angel investors and establish and develop relationships with interested investors post the event.

Stakeholderz played a vital role in providing valuable feedback to finesse the company’s pitch deck and messaging, this helped contribute to Haia’s early-stage funding.

Co-founded by Tom Burke and Andy Esser less than two years ago, Haia provides a platform where an event host can organise online, or hybrid events using fewer tools and have an easier setup and event flow. It has built-in accessibility features as well as real-time Welsh text and voice translation in development.

Megan Snijman, VP Operations at Stakeholderz commented, “We are thrilled to have been a part of this funding round for Haia bringing angel investment to the business. Tom was a pleasure to work with, as well as very proactive and on the front foot throughout the entire process. We look forward to watching them grow. As a platform that does a lot of online and in-person events, we expect to use Haia ourselves.”

Tom Burke, CEO of Haia commented, ”We found the experience with Stakeholderz to be very useful for a number of reasons; brushing up our pitch with expert advice, great communication with Megan and the team and an easy to use, friendly platform to keep track of everything – at Haia, we’re all about user friendly platforms! We’re really looking forward to engaging Stakeholderz again for our next round of funding.”

Haia aims to launch this summer and is now calling on groups, businesses and organisations to register to run test events using their “Haia Hosts” service free of charge.

Tom explains: “As we finalise the development and design of our platform, we are keen to speak to people who would like to use Haia for their events supported by our technical team. If anyone is interested in learning more, I would urge them to get in touch with me.”
