THE POWER OF AI – AN ENTREPRENEUR’S PERSPECTIVE

Event date: Tuesday

26 January 2021

Over the past year we’ve noticed a significant increase in the number of AI entrepreneurs coming to us looking for funding, and in turn our investors are telling us they want to learn more about this particular sector – from driverless cars to virtual doctors, AI is transforming the way we live, work, travel, and do business.

But what is AI? What are the benefits of investing in AI ventures? What are the risks? Where is AI headed in the next few years?

To answer all these questions we were delighted to welcome Karen Burns and Taavi Tammiste of Fyma to our webinar ‘The Power of AI – an entrepreneur’s perspective’ on Tuesday 26 January 2021. Fyma (who have just completed a seed round of €1.5M) is a computer vision SAAS platform that turns cameras into sensors using AI, transforming them into devices that glean actionable insights from the environment around us. The self-learning system requires little set up, allowing clients to get up and running with minimal time and huge cost savings. It has been designed with privacy and security in mind, and Fyma now work with business parks, real estate developers and retail centres on providing data on everything from their footfall to customer dwell time. Additionally, their resellers are utilising the platform in various ways, from marketing research to parking management. Their product demonstrates the capabilities of AI in a real life setting and they will be imparting their knowledge as entrepreneurs in the AI space, to help investors understand the possibilities, risks and benefits it brings.
