Stakeholderz Welcomes New Board of Directors

Stakeholderz is pleased to announce its three new Directors. The Directors, who each previously invested in Stakeholderz, will now be working on accelerating growth opportunities for Stakeholderz’ investee businesses and investor base alike, building on the strong foundations established by the founder, Dermot Hill, who continues to be involved in an advisory capacity.

The new Directors are:

Alan Matthews, a financial services professional, and chartered accountant, with 20 years of experience in investment banking focused on growth companies. He has 5 years of experience in Private Equity and 7 years as a founder director and CFO of Anthesis Group (sustainability consultants/activators). He is a partner at Ciesco (corporate finance/ M&A advisors), a position held for the past three years.

Salvatore D’Urso, a Finance Director and Business partner, helping SMEs to drive business growth. He has over 15 years of experience as a chartered accountant in senior finance roles in PLCs (GSK, Spin Master, Hasbro, Teleflex Medical, Lukoil, Xerox/IBM) and is a certified Oxford Fintech. He has led an investment fundraise on Seedrs (metaverse) and launched the UK operation of a PE-backed start-up in medical aesthetics achieving £600k revenue in Y1.

Robert Timms co-founded translate plus, a world-leading provider of language services and technology which was acquired by Publicis Groupe. He is an angel investor, a Prince’s Trust mentor and on the board and investment committee of Oxfam’s Enterprise Development Programme.

Alan Matthews stated, “All three of us are delighted to have joined Stakeholderz, where we see huge opportunities to develop the platform: matching quality capital with quality companies in the private markets, with a focus on sustainability and easing the route for innovative founders to secure backing and strategic support for their businesses.

The new Directors will also be working on a new and enhanced Investor Readiness programme, as well as shifting the sector focus more towards sustainability-driven, technology-enabled, innovative companies.
