Awarded an OBE for ‘contribution to entrepreneurship in the Social Digital Economy’, Penny discussed her book ‘Business is Personal’ and how being the leader of your own life is the greatest lesson in business!
Penny is best known for building Ecademy, the first social network for business people, created in 1998, it became a global, beautiful online and offline home for over 650,000 business owners. However after 14 years of extreme work it could no longer compete with the giants of LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter and lost the business in 2012.
Penny uses this experience and motivation to teach and empower other business leaders, particularly those in the world of angel investing and entrepreneurship.
