Henry Whorwood, Managing Director of Research & Consultancy at Beauhurst.
Henry will share his insights on the state of investing and M&A within the sustainability and impact sectors. As the head of Beauhurst’s Research & Consultancy unit, Henry has produced extensive research on the UK economy, with a focus on innovation and growth. He has worked on projects for clients such as the British Business Bank, HM Treasury, DSIT, and Innovate UK. An expert in business finance, entrepreneurship, and innovation, Henry frequently presents market trends at events across the country.


Roderick Beer, Managing Director at UKBAA
Roderick has over 15 years of experience in managing, founding, and growing angel groups and investment platforms, collectively deploying over £100 million in equity investment across 500+ startups and scaleups. He began his career at Beer & Partners, one of the UK’s largest angel groups, and later became COO of a corporate finance firm. Currently, he serves as Managing Director of the UK Business Angels Association, representing over 200 organizations and 18,000 investors, who collectively invest more than £1 billion annually in early-stage businesses. Drawing from his extensive experience in angel and angel group investing, Roderick will offer valuable insights during the panel discussion on Investor Perspectives: Risk, Reward, and Innovation in Sustainability and Impact.


Ben Reid, CEO at Terrafend
Ben brings over 25 years of experience as a technology entrepreneur. He has co-founded and successfully exited two fintech companies, one acquired by the Bank of New York and the other now part of Moody’s Analytics. Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, Ben serves as a board member of Viritech; a pioneer in hydrogen powertrain solutions. His reputation for building and scaling early-stage tech companies is unparalleled, making his insights a must-hear for anyone in the field. Ben will be joining us as a panel speaker to delve into the topic of ‘Scaling for Success: Impact, Liquidity & Exit’. Veronika Oswald, Commercial Director at JP Jenkins
Veronika, with nearly 20 years of experience navigating London’s capital markets and deep expertise in secondary markets for private companies, will participate in an engaging discussion on “Scaling for Success: Impact, Liquidity & Exit.” In her current roles as a director in regulated investment firms and a consultant to a North American-listed Blockchain investment company, Veronika brings immense insight into the world of finance and investment.

With 15 years in Venture Capital and two decades in relationship management at top firms like PwC, ABN Amro, and Dun & Bradstreet, James has a rich background spanning financial services, manufacturing, and consulting.
